After 2 turbulent seasons with the Denver Broncos, Tim Tebow was traded to the New York Jets, along with a 7th round pick, in return for a 4th rounder and N.Y.’s 6th. 2011 was a remarkable season to be a fan of the Denver Broncos. After starting the season under the quarterback leadership of Kyle Orton, EFX, (Elway, Fox, Xanders) pulled the plug on Orton and plugged in Tim Tebow. For the next 6 weeks, he lead the Broncos to 6 straight victories and ultimately on to become the AFC West Champs. In the AFC Wildcard round against the Pittsburgh Steelers, he managed to pull off an unbelievable win in OT with an 80 yard TD pass to Demaryius (Prime) Thomas. The Broncos’ improbable run ended with a beat down of epic proportions in Foxboro by the New England Patriots.
Fast forward to March 21, 2012. Elway persued and landed the biggest Free Agent in NFL history, Peyton Manning, to become the next quarterback of the Denver Broncos. EFX, believing that TEBOWMANIA and MANNINGMANIA was too big of a circus to sustain both in Denver, they traded Tim Tebow to the New York J-E-T-S, where he will arguably bring even more pressure to the maligned Mark Sanchez.
I want to thank Tim Tebow for 2 great seasons in Denver and for providing one of the top 5 sports moments in Denver Sports history. You will be missed. Much love and respect. Good luck and happy trails, Tim.
